As a beauty enthusiast, Sephora’s twice a year VIB sale is an event I never miss. Most shoppers (myself included) use it as a chance to stock up on favorites and try out new makeup. I definitely spoiled myself this year and bought some coveted products. To see what I added to my makeup collection, keep reading!
Huda Beauty The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette – $65
How gorge is this new palette from Huda Beauty? The packaging itself is stunning, and ties in perfectly with the theme of this palette, which features a beautiful selection of 18-highly pigmented, rosy, nude-toned shadows in matte, shimmery, and glittery finishes. I can’t wait to play with this!
Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette – $38
I wasn’t expecting to find this at Sephora but I’m so glad I did. This to me is the perfect, understated neutrals palette wrapped up in the most beautiful ornate packaging. The mix of finishes (matte, satin, and shimmer) and the gilded, honeyed tones of this palette are just so pretty. This color story just makes sense to me and I know I’ll reach for it time and time again.
Benefit Cosmetics Brow Contour Pro – $34
I’d been waiting to get my hands on Benefit’s new four-in-one defining and highlighting brow pencil and I’m glad to say it did not disappoint. I love all the useful cartridges it has and it’s just so convenient. The formula is smooth and glides on effortlessly. This is my favorite brow product I’ve ever used.
Sephora Collection Classic Double-Ended Multitasker & Concealer #202 – $24
I love a good makeup brush, and I’ve wanted a multi-purpose foundation/concealer brush like this for years. While I was browsing the site, I saw this double-ended brush and thought, how handy is this? The larger fluffier end is dense enough to apply foundation and the smaller end can easily apply concealer. I’ve yet to use it but I hope it can also triple as a powder brush.
Make Up Forever Artist Color Pencil: Eye, Lip & Brow Pencil in 606 Wherever Walnut – $18
“Wherever Walnut” by Make Up Forever is a lip liner one of my favorite vloggers swears by, so I finally took the opportunity to purchase it. Her name is Katy or Lustrelux, and based on her videos, it’s a gorgeous go-to nude-y shade ( à laMAC Spice) that will pair nicely with any nude – totally my jam. Excited to give this a try!
So this little $6 Sephora lip liner looked like a good add-on product to try. However, it ended up being one of those blah nothing shades. Womp womp.
Kevyn Aucoin The Sensual Skin Enhancer Concealer – $48
I have been wanting the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer for years. It’s the most marvelous little pot of whipped paste that covers and conceals everything (try it in store – it’s life changing). The shade pictured here (SX06) looked like the perfect flat yellow for my sallow skin (not a hint of peach or pink in my skin). But on, it just looked several shades too light. So I exchanged it for 07 and it’s a little too deep. 🙁 So I wish they had a shade between SX06 and SX07. Keeping it for now.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pressed Poreless Finish Airbrush Pressed Powder – $29
I didn’t think another powder could hold a candle to my Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, but after receiving this in a beauty subscription box, I liked it so much I had to buy the full-size. This setting powder makes my skin like velvet and really sets my foundation in place. Update: I took this out of my handbag and opened it to find it completely shattered and in chunks. Had to repurchase. 🤬
Sephora Favorites Mystery Lip Kit – $16
The last product I bought was this Mystery Lip Kit from Sephora’s “Sephora Favorites” collection. For $16 you get three deluxe lip products and a collectible pin. I thought it would be perfect for the holiday grab bag I’m putting together for the girls at work.
That’s it! Thanks so much for checking out what I got during the VIB Sale! I’d love to hear if you picked anything up in the comments below. Stay tuned to see a compilation of the best stocking stuffers, ever. xo
